Lookin' damn good! If it's obtainable anywhere, I might consider it as an comfort upgrade.

Looks nice, is it a filament present detector or a filament motion detector, or both?

i had a small problem when it was enclosed but soon fixed by putting in a small angled mirror.

it detects movement and whether the filament is there.

its only coded in Arduino at the mo but may put it on a Atmel chip to run in its own casing soon

Which laser module are you using and how much resolution are you getting on the filament movement?
