My question is and I seem to be having problems finding the answer. Can you use the Zprobe as your Zendstop for homing or do you need a mechanical also for Z?

My other question is I have an inductive probe I am using that needs higher than 3.3V. Normally on my other boards I had it connected to the power supply and then just the sig wire running to the probe pin. Should I do the same thing with the duet?

Yes. You can use a Z probe for homing.

Here is some information in the wiki that should answer your second question.

For various ways of homing Z, see https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/ConfiguringRepRapFirmwareCartesianPrinter#Section_Homing_Z.
