Stepper wire gauge recommended

I need to connect some Wantai 57bygh420 ( Nema23 ) at 2.5 m / 3 m distance from the board, I have 3 options for shielded cable twisted pairs: awg 32, awg 29 and awg 24. (0.2 / 0.3 and 0.5 mm cores)
what is the most suitable ? -
32 is definitely too thin, and 29 is marginal; so choose 24. 26 should be OK if you can find it.

I will go with AWG 24.
As the shielding must be grounded only at one end of the wire, should I connect it on the board side or on the steppers side ? -
Connect it at the board end. If your stepper motor bodies are not connected to the metal frame of your printer via the mounting screws or otherwise, connect the other end of the shield to the stepper motor body.

Each motor has an aluminium mount that is bolted to the metal frame which is grounded.
