Alternative application of the smart effector - mounting question

Hi,

I'm working on a non-fdm delta robot project for liquid handling and would like to use the smart effector as it enables great autocalibration.

I understand how the hotend is used as a probe - by attaching it to the central hole.

My question - if I use the three mounting small holes instead of the central one to attach my dosing head, will the effector trigger?

Probably, but it will be less sensitive.
