    Hey there!

I am finally getting around to configuring my printer.

A small problem though: I can't get it to run properly. Like, I tell it to move up in Z (it's a Delta), the motors make noise, but nothing else. Or it moves in XY, but not -X-Y. Why is that?

I suggest you test the three tower motors individually as described at https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/ConfiguringRepRapFirmwareDeltaPrinter#Section_Testing_the_motors_individually.

@dc42 Well, I tested it out.

It works in positive direction (carriage moving DOWN), but not in negative (carriage moving UP), which seems really strange to me. Any idea?

If the carriages will move down but just vibrate when you try to move them up, there are two possibilities:

          1. Bad connection in the wiring. If just one tower had this problem, then this would most likely be the reason.

          2. Motor current set too low. What current did you set in M906, and what is the rated current of the motors?

Positive values in the G1 S2 commands should move the carriages up, negative down. So you may need to reverse the motor directions in your M569 commands.
