Driver Stall Warning while Simulating
-
I have all my drivers setup for stall detection to report a message. My
X
andY
are somewhere aboveS10
butZ
andE0
are still at the defaultS1
. While in simulation mode I get stall warnings forZ
andE0
all the time. How is that even possible?
P.S.: When I start a print I will also immediately get a stall warning for
E0
at the current Z-height. If that is relevant: motors have been turned off byM18/M84
after last print. -
Which firmware version are you running?
-
@dc42 Sorry, forgot to add this
Firmware Name: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet Firmware Electronics: Duet WiFi 1.02 or later Firmware Version: 2.0(RTOS)RC2b (2018-05-13b3) WiFi Server Version: 1.21 Web Interface Version: 1.21.1-RC4
EDIT: I just upgrades to 2.0RC4 and it still happens.

Thanks for your report. I have put a new firmware binary (RC4a) in the EdgeRelease folder at https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/tree/v2-dev/EdgeRelease. Please try it. It should fix the stall warnings when simulating, but I'm not sure about the other ones.

@dc42 Fix confirmed for simulation - I will see if it also fixes the warning at the start of a print later.
Another question: do you prefer reporting issues here or at Github?
-
I generally prefer issues to be reported here, especially for beta and release candidate firmware.
-
@dc42 OK, I will then keep reporting them here.
