Hello, I'm having low print quality after I upgraded Anycubic i3 Mega to Duet Wifi. On photos: bigger part was printed with original Trigorila and smaller part with Duet Wifi. What could be a problem?

@newyork347 It looks similar to the issue that I'm having. I posted about it here: https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/5490/strange-moire-like-texture-on-prints

Are you using a Titan Aero by any chance?
Is your extruder motor 0.9 degrees?

All hardware is original (except Duet wifi), planing to do further upgrades after resolve this problem. Extruders are 1.8 degrees.

I will look closer in a little bit but you currents are quite high. Try reducing them to 800mA. You don’t need to max them based on what their max capability but rather what you need. Also acceleration and Jerk should also be reduced as the default values tend to be high.

In addition to the reply above:

                  • Looks like you have not pid tuned the hotend and bed (missing config-override)
                  • Max temp of 280 is too high for the stock hotend (PTFE throat)
                  • Set max acceleration on X,Y to 1000 and make sure your belts are tight
                  • Set max speed on X,Y to 9000
                  • Reduce your extruder acceleration

Can you post the config file again? Have you calibrated the extruder?

By the way, if you let the printer run with the web interface going, does the temperature look flat over a long period of time (say 30 minutes) or is it all over the place?

I played with settings, still no luck, temperature is alway is same in browser. I suspect that problem could be with extruder, in this print it uses 3 lines to build side wall when it builds 3rd line(facing inside of part that I'm printing) extruder making some different noise, but not extruding. Same happens for next layer. Thats how curvy lines appear from inside. I'm really sure that extruder in working conditions, something with settings. Thanks for helping!

Ok, now we are getting somewhere. Can you also post your gcode for that file. Which slicer are you using? Also, I would bring your extruder current down to 1000. Its better to run the motors lower as it keeps them from getting too hot.

When you say same thing happens for the next layer, do you mean for all walls or only inside wall it seems to have an issue? Which extruder are you using?

Extruder acceleration is still very high.
Have you selected relative extruder in the slicer? And reprap flavour?

I'm using Cura, Will reduce current to 1000. Problem only happens to inside side of wall. I'm Using extruder that came with printer, it looks like it have that stepper motor http://www.steppermotorshop.com/anycubic-nema-17-stepper-motor-bipolar-1-5a-40ncm57-1oz-in-4-leads-for-3d-printer-or-cnc-parts/
                                I will upload gcode

                                  Also reduce your extruder acceleration.
Download and install the latest Cura. There is a i3 Mega profile already bundled in Cura. Make sure you set gcode flavour to reprap and set the extruder to relative mode

Out of curiousity what happens if you print with two walls? To me it sounds like a slicer issue but I don't know. What is strange to me is that the g-code only references "wall-outer" and never wall-Inner until very late in the print. I am not sure that means anything as I use simplify3d and its been a long time since I used CURA. As @bartolomeus said, make sure you set the extruder to relative.
