servo pins in Duet ethernet
-
Hi to all
Like in ramps board they are any servo pins in Duet ethernet board?
-
The pins for controlling additional heaters on the expansion connector can be used as servo control pins. They have 3.3V signal levels, but most 5V servos seem to work with a 3.3V control signal. See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Using_servos_and_controlling_unused_IO_pins for how to configure them. You can also get +5V for servo power from the expansion connector.
The DueX2, DueX5 and external stepper interface boards have servo connectors with 5V signal levels.
Caution: large servos sometimes feed large power surges into the 5V power rail. Therefore we recommend that you connect a 200uF or greater capacitor between the +5V and ground terminals of the servo, to help absorb these surges.
