      Is there any way to reprogram duet to use the 2nd extruder driver slot to control the Z axis stepper motor on my Kossel?

      I can't seem to be able do repair the broken pin on Z driver microchip.

      😞

        Yes, see the M584 command in the GCodes page of the wiki.

        How did the Z driver pin come to be broken?

          Thanks, I'll try it!

          It was very oxidyzed and became malfunctioning (Z carrier looking as if it was jamming).

          I'm not sure, but maybe the pin brake when I tried to clean the oxidation with a tiny brass brush...

            Do you mean that the pin on the motor connector broke? If so then that connector can be replaced, using appropriate soldering equipment. The trick is to remove the 4 pins one at a time, not try to remove them all at once.

            However, if the E1 driver output is free then it's simpler to connect the Z motor to that one instead.

              @dc42

              No, not the motor connector pin.
              A pin in the driver microchip

                @dc42 I'm having trouble sing the M584 command. Could you elp me?

                I have a Kossel from think3dprintd.

                Does it use the XYZ or ABC notation? Do I need to use the P parameter along with M584?

                  If you just want to use the E1 motor output to drive the Z motor in place of of the Z motor output, all you need is M584 X0 Y1 Z4 E3 in config.g. Put it before any M350 or M906 commands. Also, if you have a M569 P3 line in config.g, change P3 to P5 in that line.
