So I shorted my duet wifi + duex5 by accident. 100% my fault (It was late and I wasn't paying attention) So I ordered both a new duet wifi and duex5. I reconnected everything and forgot i was running LEDs and Fans on my duex5 on 12v! ( I know Im not a smart person). Shortly after that I switched the jumper to 12v. Replaced the fans and leds. I'm having an issue now where everything on the duex works except anything on the 12v line. Did I blow a mosfet? or is the issue on the duet? There is no visual damage or smell on anything on the board. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Did you enable the 12V regulator on the DueX5, by putting a jumper across the 12V_EN pins?

It sounds to me that the 12v regulator on the DueX5 isn't working. If you have a multimeter, you could check for the correct voltages at various points:

              • VIN at one end of D6, and about 0.3V less on the other end and on C3
              • VIN on either end of L1 (take great care not to short the probe against the adjacent IC!)
              • +12V on either end of L3

@dc42 thats what I assumed, but I literally bought a new duex5 board to see if the duex5 was the one that was ruined and still nothing worked

@dc42 tried a brand new duex5 and 12v still doesn't seem to work. VIN on the duex works. Could it be something on the duet wifi?

@dc42 The Duex 5 boards i received from filastruder did not have a jumper on 12_EV. Both boards are v0.8a. I took the jumper off my older v0.8 put it on the v0.8a on 12_EV and the 12V line worked

But I thought you said you said on 29 May that you fitted the jumper?

@dc42 On the v0.8 boards there is a jumper on 12V_EN already. On the rev A the 12V_EN pins don't have a jumper so when the user switches the Fan jumper select nothing happens on 12V UNLESS there is a jumper on 12V_EN. 0_1528470665519_cbd75ff8-d827-4856-8d20-f29e77d9cb77-image.png https://i2.wp.com/betrue3d.dk/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Duex5-jumpersfor12v.jpg?ssl=1

                        1. Is the 12_V EN - I bought two v0.8a boards and both did not have a jumper on them. So I assumed the 12V line was broken.

Just a heads up for people who get the rev A duex5
