    Thanks for helping!

I got a small problem after installing a router.
The board can't be accessed anymore on the internet when i type the IP address linked to the board. The IP from the duet has been configured to "192.168.1.2."
The router has been configured to 192.168.178.3.!
It is connected to the blue 'Linksys' router via an 'Ethernet connection.'
I already tried to reverse the routers ip to 192.168.1.1 but without luck. Is there a way to reconfigure the ip from the board from 192.168.1.x to 192.168.178.x?

    Thanks for helping

@sannygt You can set the IP address of the Duet using M552. Check your config.g as its probably set to 192.168.1.2 in there:

Excuse me for my late response,

I tried to change the settings by editing the IP with the M552 command and/or via the 'config.g' setting without luck. In the past I managed to log in by connecting it directly from the modem. After installing the 2 new routers the board won't connect anymore. They are both 2.4Ghz and the board is connected with an Ethernet cable.

If you use M552 I0.0.0.0 S1 in config,.g then it should ask the router to assign it an IP address using DHCP. Then you can send M552 with no parameters from USB to see what IP address it has been assigned.

I recently changed my router out without thinking of changing the wifi config on my board i got rid of the old router, now trying I'm trying to reconnect to my duet wifi so through the terminal of my mac it fails as well as through pronterface. I went into the config.g file and commented out the M552 S1 command still with now luck of connecting. i was curious if there was just a way to load my new ssid and password onto the sd card using a text editor as i don't currently have any other pc besides my mac i can't do the 3rd option. oh and Im probably out of date as far as firmware updates as well so should i just start downloading the files for that at the same time I'm trying to figure this out or just wait till i can actually get connected.

From your message, I guess this is a Duet WiFi. What firmware version is it running?

Yes it’s for a WiFi and I’m looking through the files now to find some sort of indication of the firmware it’s running and not really finding anything other than it saying config file for dc42 duet firmware but I believe it’s the 1.19 or 1.18? I haven’t updated it in at least a year if that helps.

ok I think i got it figured out now i just went back in and uncommented out the M552 S1 command and then connected to the duet wifi entered in the defult ip and was prompted to enter in the ssid and password can now connect via my network so just on to looking at how to update the firmware but thanks for your speedy response and putting out such good products. Oh and i was thinking about upgrading my build plate was curious if there was a way to control two heated 200/300 beds to make it 400/300mm on a 3d printer with the option to only run one if the other wasn't being used?

Yes it's possible, because firmware 1.21 and later versions support up to 4 bed heaters on a Duet WiFi/Ethernet.
