      Hey Everyone,

      New here but glad to finally be a Duet User and getting rid of the printrboard. I am new to the custom Gcode configuration side of 3D printing but I had a shot at setting up my printer so far and need some help getting it to actually print so any suggestions to how to better set up my Gcode would be amazing.

      I am running a PrintrBot Simple Metal with the Duetwifi. The hotend is the E3D V6. The stepper motors are Kysan 1124090 (https://goo.gl/G2a931) The X and Y are normal mechanical endstops and I am running a Mini Differential IR sensor for the Z Probe and endstop.

      Here is the previous information from the Printrboard:

      The printer homes all axis, rather slow but it works and all endstops activate and the Z Probe stops at 2.5mm above the bed. Fans all run and the hotend and heated but heat up and it extrudes plastic.

      That is as far as I have gotten, I tried to print and realized the Z offset wasn't set up and luckily it just bored a hole into an old bed surface. Here is my Config file, so let me know what is wrong and what would be helpful to change!

        Please also post your homex.g, homey.g, homez.g and homeall.g files.

        Does your printer have a Z endstop switch, or does it use a Z probe for homing Z?

          @dc42 There is no mechanical endstop for the Z axis, previously it was using an inductive sensor as an endstop and z probe for "bed leveling"

            You'll need to find the actual trigger height for your z probe.

            you should also measure the X and Y distance between the probe center and the nozzle tip.

            That will provide the X, Y, and Z values for your G31 command in config.g.

              That's the "F" (feedrate) parameter in the G1 moves for your homing files. I'd leave the slow second pass at 360 but if you want to speed things up, you could try changing the F1800 (30mm/sec) values to 3600 (60mmm/sec) or 4800 (80mm/sec) or even more if you feel it's still too slow and if the machine will take it. You have it set to 6000 (100mm/sec) for the XY move in the home Z but 1800 in the home X and home Y.
