Recommended power source

Hello, I have bought a duet wifi and I want to know if the power source (12v or 24v) affects the performance of the 3d printer, I have a 12v - 20A power source would be good idea change it by a 24v power source?
Thank you.

Give this a read. It will explain what you gain from using 24v power with regards to motors: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Choosing_and_connecting_stepper_motors
And this: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Choosing_the_power_supply
Another thing to keep in mind is that using 24v would require your heater cartridge and fans to also ideally be 24v compliant.

Ok, I am going to read that but my fans run to 12v, is that a problem?
thank you.

To use 12v fans on a 24v power supply will require some effort but is doable. The easiest way is to use a buck converter to take 24v from the PSU and convert it to 12v and feed that into the vfan pin on the duet. That would power all the fan headers with 12v.
Or you would have to replace your 12v fans with 24v fans. It will be up to you to decide which is easiest.
