So i'm having some issues with my Anet A8 under extruding (I think).
The top layer has these weird gaps between 2 lines. It didn't do this before I got a duet so i'm pretty sure its firmware or software related but I just can't figure out what it is.

I did notice some clicking noise and inconsistent extrusion when extruding at higher speeds, while at lower speeds it extrudes fine.

Any help would be appreciated ☺

as you mention clicking it could be a small blockage or you first layer is laying down to close to the bed

I already changed the heater block, nozzle and throat, and after that is still happens. So I don't think that's it.
pretty sure my nozzle height is good.

Are you getting the correct amount of filament ie 100 requested, 100 sent?

I have had to correct mm/s every time I have changed parts on the hot end.

Have you tuned the heater? That will help ensure the heat value.

I am also converted from Anet A8. Most of it is replaced by now but the hotend and extruder are still MK8. I recently recalibrated my steps/mm and I had to increase them about 5%. I can see you still have the 95 steps/mm (probably from Marlin config). So it is worth to recalibrate this. I am now at 102 steps/mm with mine.

So i'm getting 100 mm of extrusion when extruding at very low speeds, when I move to higher speeds it extrudes between 10 and 20 mm of filament. I had the steps per mm at 105.2 before but I changed it back because I didn't know if it was correct or not.

@mrniceguy The steps will be correct if the amount of infill the the extruder pushes will be exactly three amount it was commanded to push.

Usually you mark something like 120 or 150mm on the filament measured from the top of the extruder. Then you extrude 100mm at 1mm/s. When this is finished measure the distance between the top of the extruder and your mark. With the result you can adjust your steps.

Your day that at higher speeds it does extruder much less. What do you consider higher speeds? The Anet Hotend will extruder significantly less already at 4 to 6mm/s.
