So I made a silly mistake while cleaning the hotend with a copper brush, I left the printer running as the extruder was still very hot and was letting it cool down. I accidentally touched Mini IR probe using the copper brush which made a small spark and caused the printer to restart.

Now the problem I have is that the wifi module is not working, I am able to still connect to the printer using YAT but unable to start the module.

Is something like this easy to fix or have I destroyed the board.

Does every other aspect of the printer work apart from the WiFi? If so then most likely just the WiFi module has failed, and it can be replaced.

Yep everything else seems to be working perfectly fine, and no visible signs of damage anywhere on the board

That is great, can you confirm if this is the same module: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ESP8266-Micro-controller-Module-shielded-breakout-board-for-Arduino-NodeMCU-CF/283084427871?hash=item41e925925f%3Ag%3AAZIAAOSwawBbZU7C&LH_BIN=1

That module doesn't look quite the same as the one we use. Look for ESP-12S, or for ESP-07S if you want the version with external antenna.

You will need either a hot air rework station or low-melting point solder such as ChipQuik to remove the old module.

You will need to flash the the WiFi firmware on the new module after you install it, by copying DuetWiFiserver.bin into /sys on the SD card and sending M997 S1.
