COMPLETELY NEW to 3D Printing/Electronics/Motion
-
Hi! I'm a total newbie to 3D Printing and anything technical.
So I'm trying to get started with the DuetWifi while waiting for my dad to get the mechanical parts up and I've been reading a bit through all the documentation and looking at youtube videos.I've got the DuetWifi powered up, connected to the Internet, updated to the latest firmware, Connected to the PanelDue 7i, but that's like the furthest I can go at this moment.
Without connecting the motors, is it possible for me to send moves to the DuetWifi and see some feedback on the Duet Web Control or the PanelDue 7i itself?
Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction!!

Yes you can do that. First send G92 X0 Y0 Z0 to pretend that the printer has been homed. Then you should be able to use the jog buttons to move the axes, and see the XYZ coordinates change.
