I recently purchased two duet wifi boards, on one of the boards the hotend heater screw terminals are soldered on backwards (the input of the screw terminal is facing the board, not the outer edge.) Has anyone else experienced this? I'm worried that if a wire comes loose it will short out on the board.

@rolltide14, is that board a genuine UK-manufactured one, or a clone? A genuine one shouldn't have passed testing like that.

@dc42 It is genuine. It was purchased from Filastruder.

I'm sorry you received an incorrectly-manufactured Duet. Please ask Filastruder to replace it.

I've remembered that during testing our assemblers now use pogo pins to make contact with the bottom of the heater terminals, which explains how it passed testing. But you've got me wondering how we can automate visual inspection, to avoid human error in the inspection process.

Maybe some camera and opencv? And compare images to a stored reference image.
Probably would need to make photos several photos from different angles.

That's the sort of thing I was thinking of.
