Hello, i have recently upgraded my cr-10 with a duet 2 maestro board and everything has been working perfectly until now. i have just wired up my 12864 lcd screen to the board and was trying to get my menu screens to work and realized i was running a 2.01beta firmware and there was much more support, so i upgraded to the new 2.02 and now i have high pitched motor noises coming from x and y. i have tried switching back and to other firmwares but nothing changes. i have also changed my configuration files and unplugged my lcd screen.
i am not that skilled in the sense of this as this is my first printer and board upgrade so please keep that in mind when giving me advice thank you.

I believe my issue is with the firmware i have on it. The board came with 2.01beta1 which is no longer available on GitHub. If someone could drop me the .bin file for 2.01beta1 that would be greatly appreciated.

the tmc faq says that you can get high pitch noise when using a power supply below 18V

do you get the noise on standstill or moving? also see

Oh interesting. The board never did it before i changed firmwares though. I am however using the stock 12 v power supply. My issue occurs when the motors are moving only. Also this forum you have directed me to talks about movement speeds before stealthchop is turned off and my having and moving speeds in my configurator are currently set to 60 mm/s so there should be no changing what mode they are in. these noises occur with every movement.

Update: I have discovered the problem and fixed it. Thank you very much to @Veti for pointing me in the right direction when i viewed the stats of each stepper motor driver with the M596 P# command it showed they were all set to exit stealthchop mode at .9 mm/s and using the V command have set them to change at 80.6 mm/s. Thank you very much for the help.

The default in firmware 2.02 is that stealthchop is turned off at very low speeds, to ensure reliable printing without skipping steps. That's why the motors are now noisier when moving. You can use the M569 command to increase that speed.
