Connecting laser to duet wifi
-
Hi,
I am trying to figure out the best way to connect a laser engraver to the duet wifi using a 24v power supply. The laser I am using is off of this https://www.banggood.com/2500mW-A3-30x40cm-Desktop-DIY-Violet-Laser-Engraver-Picture-CNC-Printer-Assembling-Kits-p-1003863.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CNI have searched and found 2 possible ways:

I am fine with connecting circuits but have no idea when it comes to how the circuits work or designing them. So a solution where I can buy the circuit would be preferable. What would you advise is the best, simplistic way?
Thanks -
Hello? Anyone able to help please

You could feed a 12v through a buck converter (from the same 24v you power the Duet... Google about multiple voltage on Duet you'll see how to do that) to the V_FAN input and then plug the laser to one of PWM Fans output so you'd be able to power the laser from 12V on/off with a simple M106/M107 gcode.
Hope it helps.
