Yes. Create a separate folder called sys, along with the other ''sys'' files ( sys-COREXY, sys-Kossel, etc ). Copy paste your Firmware.bin, Duetserver.bin and the ia4e file ( sorry if name files are wrong ) into that folder. Try again and let me know

Sorry that has confused me. This is my current folder structure. Where do I create this additional SYS folder?

I'm not sure what @CozyP is after either.

But I think you may need to rename the file first. I can't tell from your screen shot what your current firmware version is, but see the update instructions here

Did you copy DuetWiFiServer.bin to the SD card in a PC, move the SD card to the Duet, and then immediately send M997 S1 ? If so, either reboot the Duet or send M21 to remount the SD card, and then try the M997 S1 command again.

Looks like there may be a problem with the SD card socket then. When you run M122 with an SD card in the socket, does the report say that the SD card was detected, or not?

So it's not the card detect switch that's the problem. It's probably one of the contacts in the socket, or the processor.

Have you ever used a SD card extender with the microSD card socket?

Definitely not! SD card extenders can damage the socket.

If your Duet is under warranty, please ask your supplier to repair or replace it.

It's probably possible to repair it. The soldering on the SD card socket pins and the resistor behind it would need to be checked, if nothing is found then the SD card socket replaced, and if that doesn't work then the processor replaced. Which country are you in?

If you want to send it to me I can take a look, although it may take a little while due to my workload. So you should probably still buy a replacement.

New duet fitted and printer now back on online.

This is the state of the faulty duet. Sure you still want to take a look at repairing it? Looks pretty charred to me...

That does look bad. From the distribution of the soot, it looks to me that something may have caught fire above the Duet, not on it. But you would need to clear away the soot and check for burned traces under it to be sure.
