    Hi,

Is M300 supposed to be able to make a sound on the computer when the DWC is connected via WiFi?

    Thanks.

If you have a PanelDue attached, or a 12864 display on a Duet Maestro, it only beeps the PanelDue or 12864 display. Otherwise, DWC should produce a beep.

I have no display attached to my Duet WiFi.

        This is the firmware info:

I verified that the computer (running Windows 10) can produce sounds but nothing occurs when executing an M300 command with appropriate parameters (1KHz for 1 second).

        Any ideas?

        Thanks.

Just checking you mean you can make a sound on your computer through the browser window? Eg playing radio or videos?

I know plain M300 work on my machines with DWC 2.0RC5

I'd be interested to know the answer to this too. It's not a big deal for me but I can't get any audible beeps out of DWC either. I'm on my phone right now so can't say what the exact version of DWC it is other than it's the latest stable version. I use Windows 10 and Firefox. Everything else I use my computer for behaves as it should from an audio perspective.
Edit. I do get a beep out of my PanelDue, although it's very faint.

Think when the paneldue is attached it doesn't peep the DWC. Either or.

Edit: Sorry, dc42 alreadt has said that!

For completeness I'm using Firefox on Ubuntu.

                  David,

Just to confirm that it's an either/or scenario yes? If so, is there a reason for that? i.e is "both" not possible?

Yes other sources of sounds, such as Windows Media Player, work just fine.

I simply cannot get M300 to make any sounds at all - I have no panel of any sort attached to the Duet WiFi. I did not mention this initially but I am using a Duet WiFi/Duex 5 combo if that makes any difference.

I have not tried any version of DWC 2 but I will give it a go and see what the results are.

M300 works at home, but not everywhere.
In homez.g, I put a beep to validate something, I have the sound.
On the other hand, if I create an M300 in a macro of the macro folder and the execution of the menu file / managment / macros, I have no sound.
But if I run it from the dashboard / macros menu I get some sound.

It's my panel7 that plays the sound

Sometimes you have to add G4 Pxxxx to block time

I will have to try that approach.

                        Thanks.

                          Well a M300 command combined with a G4 command doesn't work either.

Haven't had a chance to try DWC 2.x yet - that's for tomorrow.
