Hi everyone. I'm new here and have just purchased a 2nd hand black widow printer with a PanelDue 5i and a Duet2 Vi.04 board. Unfortunately I've turned it on and although it all comes on, I cant seem to get it to do any of the Tests on the panel. I do get an error saying : Check IR Probe & PanelDue then press x endstop. I haven't seen a IR probe so not sure what is happening. The previous owner has immigrated and so I have no way of contacting him. Where do I start to find out if this is fried or not.
ps sorry for the niaeve questions.

        Hi PeterA

Stupid question but did you try to home the printer? If not, press the little house symbol on the PanelDue. 😉

        Best,
        Markus

Ok, so the message appears on the PanelDue as soon as you turn the printer on?
Could you upload the config.g file that is stored on the SD card from the Duet 2?
Maybe there is some weird start up sequenz on there...

I found this threat where there seems to be the same message on the screen like yours:

The IR Probe may be one of these https://miscsolutions.wordpress.com/mini-height-sensor-board/ attached to the hot end. The instruction to check it may be suggesting that you put your finger just below it and check that the red LED on it lights up.

EDIT: I think the tests you can see on the PanelDue are the ones used at the factory to test the Duet. They are not for testing your printer. OTOH the Home button should work, if main power is applied to the printer (not just USB power).

Hi all, thanks I found a loose sensor. There is no probe. Seems like the home button works now. Im following the instructions using YAT and I am getting the error "WiFi reported error: no known networks found" I see a lot of stuff on the forums so i'll work with those before i cry for help again. Thanks.

Send M587 from YAT to see if your WiFi network SSID is in the list of known networks. SSIDs are case-sensitive.
