On the front of the sensor there are two SMT components on the right that resemble leds, they are marked D1 and D2.

I transport my printer back and forth to my local FabLab for various reasons, the main one being that it is more accurate than their Seemecnc Rostock Max V2/V3, that they do not let me upgrade to duet electronics, or at all actually.

Anyway, during transport this last time, I had to put my printer in the trunk and thought I was driving carefully and something in my trunk must have hit the board and knocked just that right D2 component off….either that, or it got ripped off the last time i tried printing and came home to a rat nest of plastic all over the place and the hot end covered in plastic....

Either way, not proud of either. I've already ordered a replacement sensor. The board appears to function properly without being able to trigger. It appears that the pads are not destroyed so I'd like to be able to fix it if possible. I was just going to use solder paste and bake it til it set, please tell me if this is not the way to do it.

Is there documentation of this? Is this OSH as well? I couldn't find a component list.

Hi, the diode part number is SFH4045N. Which country are you in?

          Thank you very much.

United States, I tend to get the majority of my connectors and components from digikey.

If you were closer, I'd put one in the post to you. But Digikey will be quicker.

I'm not concerned about time, Filastruder already delivered the new one. I just figured the difference in price is negligible to be honest, as long as their shipping for one component isn't ridiculous.

Would it be possible to get some components thrown in the pack if I order other stuff from Duet webshop? I'm the guy from twitter that broke off 3 components of my ir sensor with a screwdriver…

If you order direct from my Escher3D.com shop then i can include extra parts, but I only sell the parts i manufacture, which means IR sensors and PanelDue display control boards.
