I have my machine at work and cannot connect it to wifi for security reasons. What is the best way to use it? The machine does have Paneldue. At the moment I am removing the SD card to install the print files.

You can set it to access point mode and then use a device to connect directly to the Duet which creates its own access point.

If the PanelDue is connected to the Duet via a ribbon cable (not the 4-way cable) then you can also use the SD card slot in the PanelDue to hold files to be printed.

While not sure what your exact security concern and policy is I would consider a wired ethernet connection to a Raspberry Pi running octoprint and a USB connection to the Duet Wifi.

Mind you I haven't tried, but it is my understanding that Octoprint should work with the firmware if set to Marlin compatible mode but there are a few caveats.

But if wired ethernet was an option I guess you would have gotten the Duet 2 Ethernet instead of the Wifi version?

Thanks for the replies. I will set up the access point option. This post is great. https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/3107/duet-wifi-in-access-point-mode
