I am using a SSR with a 120v 760w silicone heated mat. Do i need to drive the SSR with a mosfet or can i drive the dc side with the duet?

You can drive it just with the duet. What SSR are you using? The Croydom mentioned here https://duet3d.com/wiki/Connecting_a_bed_heater#Mains_voltage_AC_bed_heater has never let me down.

ohh ok , someone mentioned burning there board up with a ssr , though I thought it would be excessive to use a mosfet on a ssr I just wanted to be certain I wasn't missing something. thanks

Yes you can drive it directly from the bed heater terminals on the Duet. Be sure to get the polarity of the control wires right, for an SSR it matters.
