Another question about setting "Z=0 Datum"
-
Hi,
I'm new to mesh bed compensation and having a Z-probe on my printer.
In the notes about setting the "Z=0 Datum" it states to move the nozzle to center of the bed and execute a single G30 command.
Why do we not put the probe over the center of the bed instead of the nozzle?
Thanks.

I would think that should read probe rather than nozzle.
Can you link to exactly where that is from?

There is a section on setting "Z=0 Datum".
I find it sometimes confusing as to what source of info is the "official" source.

Logically you'd think it should be the probe that's at the center of the bed. That's how I do it anyway.
I believe @dc42 Added that section with the 2.03 update. Perhaps he can clarify.

It seems to be that the probe should be centered also.
Perhaps we will hear from dc42.
