Anyone measured the SPI timings between a Duet3 and a RPi?
-
I'm trying to get an idea of how fast the RPi can actually shuffle data across the SPI bus at a 1MHz clock frequency. I'm playing with my Jetson Nano and I'm seeing an interval between bytes of about 150us. That seems a little long and I can adjust it but it would be good to know what the RPi does and what the Duet3 can handle.

There is some timing info mentioned in this thread (I thought I'd seen more about spi speeds, but couldn't find it just now)
-
@bearer Yeah don't see anything relevant.

If 1-5Mhz and up to 30 full frames/sec doesnt help hopefully this does

@bearer "Frame" is a nebulous term
Is "Time" per division or for the window and what was going on at the time, just housekeeping?
Think you could get a capture while sending a large gcode file to the Duet3? -
Hehe, I defer to the almighty creator for the terminology:P
Time is per division yeah. Realized after I'd squared it away you did your capture at 25us, and I did the one I was hoping would be a close match at 20ms
Not sure what it was doing, the first few frames at boot. Might find the time to set it up later, will post back if I do.

@bearer No worries! Don't go to any trouble. I was just curious.

Is this where I say trouble is my middle name?
