Random motor phase disconnects and PanelDue goes blank

Hi,

I am getting random motor phase disconnects reporting from different drivers and phases. The machines has been working well for a week and now reporting these errors. Small example below as sometime it could be other drivers or the other phase.

Warning: motor phase B may be disconnected reported by driver(s) 0
Warning: motor phase B may be disconnected reported by driver(s) 0
Warning: motor phase A may be disconnected reported by driver(s) 5 7 8

I am using a duet and duex nothing has changed but these crop up and sometimes the motors randomly move.

Just now the machine hung after a move and the PanelDue went blank (black).

I have checked the motors and connectors and all seem fine.

Firmware version?

Do you have a short thick wire between the ground terminals of the two VIN connectors, as mandated in the DueX instructions?

@dc42 thanks for the quick reply. The Firmware is 2.04 and the wire is short and was 18AWG. I have made it thicker but still no change.
