My Duet Maestro is not responding

So I have tried removing the SD card, and all the wiring is currently disconnected. I haven't explicitly tried to pull out the reset button, though I did try to press it and it seemed to click.
Small chance of the hot end hitting something metallic, bed is glass covered with a buildtak sheet.

Okay, probably the next thing to try is to erase the firmware. Sometimes the firmware can get corrupted enough that it fails to start up properly, and only fully erasing the firmware will fix it. Fortunately pretty rare. Follow the guide here: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware#Section_Fallback_procedure_Num_3

I do this just by jumpering the "erase" headers correct? Have done and I was hoping that would get me to a point where I could at least see the Duet on my PC, no dice. Bossa Port is not listed on my PC after erasing the firmware.

You've taken the jumper off now? It only needs to be on for one power cycle. Very occasionally you need to do it a couple of times.
Otherwise, it's probably time to start looking for damage, eg any chips that are obviously burned, or is there any chance that something metal touched/shorted the board. Is this a new board? Genuine Duet or clone?

Ok, so yes the jumper was off, I just tried it again and its still not showing up on my Windows PC. Board is a genuine Duet Maestro, purchased in August.
There doesn't appear to be any obvious damage to the board.

Try some different USB cables and USB ports.
-
I've tried 6 different USB ports and 4 different cables

Guess the next step for me here is to straight up replace the micro...anybody know if I can program the duet with a new chip?

Is your Maestro still within warranty?
-
@dc42 It should be, it was purchased July 18, 2019, however from a Canadian distributer
-
Are there any Unknown Device instances showing up in Windows Device Manager? This can happen if you don't have a suitable driver installed for the Bossa Port.
If not, then I am happy to authorise a warranty replacement.
-
@dc42 No there aren't, I only see "Communications Port (COM1)"

Please ask your distributor for a replacement under warranty, referring them to this post for authorisation.
