      Hey,
I ordered a Duet 2 Maestro, attached it to the USB, followed the guide to set up the network and web interface. I wanted to update the Firmware coming from 2.01.

I followed the guide on updating it and downloaded a combined package for v3, which the webinterface didn't seem to recognise. I then tried to just update to 2.05, using the "DuetMaestroFirmware.bin" from the last release before v3. The web interface asked me to start the update, which I confirmed.

So now, the Cr10s5 display keeps showing "Updating Firmware" since around 1 hour. I can't believe, that this is a normal amount of time for a 400kb firmware file.

At this point I am unsure. The diag-led is solid red, the web interface is not responding. Did I brick the board?

It would feel wrong to unplug it at this point.

      What could I do?

Do you have the iap4s.bin in the sys folder?
As far as I know you need this one also for the downgrade

It should be quite fast, a minute or even less.

Look up the usb programming if you don't get it working.
