1.3a current is well within what the Duet 3 can handle. Depending on what your use case is, a Duet Maestro might be a better candidate.

and where did you find that 1.3A?
1.68A is the rated curent per phase and resistance is 1.9ohms per phase from that 3.19V . Im a noob when it comes to steppers, what i remember from uni that 3.19 is the nominal voltage and the stepper can be driven like 8 times that.
Am on the right track at all?
Is the psu voltage the maximum voltage output from the drivers? or is there some wizardy going on? -

From that link I clicked on more information which has a table. I assumed you were talking about the 4209I-01P since that was in your link.

Using 24v for the PSU is a good choice. And the 4209I-01P, if that is in fact the motor you're looking at, is a good choice for a normal average run of the mill printer. It has reasonable torque for typical loads.
But you haven't described what your application is so it's hard to say.
But just based on that motor, the rated current would be more suitable for the Duet Maestro than the Duet 3. But there are more considerations than just rated current. But without knowing what you are hoping to do....

@Phaedrux I suspect it is the 4209L-01P that he is referring to which are 1.7 amps from the following table (same sort of Spec as I use on my delta with a Duet2)

@Torppa If it's the 4209L-01P motor, at 1.7A current, that will be fine with any current Duet. Stepper motors are run at between 50% (850mA) to 80% (1.36A) of their maximum current; if you go over this, the stepper motor will get hot when it's on the whole time, which it will be on a printer. The stepper driver controls the voltage to get the requested current, and will do so long as you supply enough voltage; 12V would probably be okay, but 24V is usually better, but generally you don't have to worry about voltage.
Any of the current Duets can provide 1.4A to the motors; the Duet 2 Maestro has a limit of 1.6A, Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet has a limit of 2.4A, and the Duet 3 has a limit of 6.3A! So it really depends your application as to what other features/specification you need.
