2nd extruder not turning on using Duet Web Control
-
Hi, I have a corexy (dbot) that I'm trying to configure, (I'm swapping from Smoothie to Duetwifi) and I would appreciate some help.
I finally have it homing correctly however the second extruder will not go active. I've used the RepRapFirmware Configuration Tool for the setup and I can't see where the error is. I have confirmed both heater and thermistor work on the second extruder.

Are you using Duet Web Control (DWC)? If so, under Heater temperatures (top left) have you got "Heater 1" then underneath the status (active standby or off) followed by the tool number in brackets(T0) and under that, "Heater 2", the status and tool (1)?

not the best indication when hot end goes active on lcd (little dot in symbol i think) and very slow to refresh but wifi does show heater status much better on mine. i wondered what that tool setting was about…
-
@bananas, what happens when you send T1 to activate the second tool?
-
T1 turns the heater on. M104 S190 T1 (without sending T1 first ) adds the temperature to the active temperature window but does not turn on the heater
-
That is the intended behaviour.

Now I'm a little confused. Should selecting a temperature either in the active or standby drop-downs turn the heater on and heat to the selected temperature? Or have I misunderstood? The bed turns on and heats to the selected temperature in the active temperature dropdown.
Thanks
