      Hello

I have this SIL465000 SSR laying around and wonder if I could use it to drive my 220v AC heating pad.

Those are phase angled controller SSR through analog signal from 0 to 10V

Do you guys have any experience with this?

suppose you could use a heater output to pull down voltage divided 10v signal and smooth it out to give you an analouge 0-10v signal; but given the long response time of a heated bed phase angle control is just extra noise; a zero-crossing one would be much less noisy, not to mention easier to control.

          I get it.
Those relays are used in industrial environment to drive heaters, thought it could be interesting to play with. Seems it doesn't deserve the hassle

          Thanks

Most heaters do fine with slower control loops and zero-crossing switching; lighting and motor control will benefit from phase angle control however.
