Automatic filament size detection and speed tied to extruder

Being able to monitor and adjust filament size on the fly and speed of filament tied to extruder to detect slippage/jams.

The filament movement part of this request is in hand with a filament sensor we are working on. It obviously requires more hardware as well as firmware.
Filament diameter is rather a specialist requirement because good quality filament is very consistent these days. It mainly the guys who are rolling their own filament who need it.
