Duet3D not connecting to the computer (Please read carefully)
-
Thats unfortunate, I'm sure the Duet people would be interested in the timeline from power on and flashing led to dim led; what was connected where etc.
-
@Reaperrhs The faded diag LED can also be caused by something keeping the reset pin grounded.
Do you have anything connected to the 2-pin header right next to the LED? Is there anything interfering with the reset pushbutton? Is there anything on the underside of the board that could be shorting the pins or button? -
on the link posted before is a picture of the board, that shows the pins and the led, but reset pin looks clear
-
Sorry to see you're still having issues.
Just to verify, since you did not reply to your previous thread, you have received a new Duet 3 and are having the same issue?
You'll recall my comment from the previous thread:
Also please note that if the issue with the usb connection was not a problem with the Duet 3 itself you will likely run into the same issue again. This is why we try to eliminate all other factors before approving a warranty replacement.
So at this point we really must identify exactly what you have tried so that we can eliminate your setup as the source of the issue.
So please provide some details.

i buy another one from a different seller because they were out stock
-
honestly, i don't understand what do you want me to describe, I follow step by step according to duet, i install all the drivers and programs to get it connected, nothing happens, i place the jumper and erased and still not working, i try 3 different computers and several cables and length, still not showing, please let me know what else i need to do?
-
well ideally we should verify that the USB cable and port being used are able to send data and power successfully.
Which cables are you using? Do they work with other devices? Do you have another Duet that you can test with? A cell phone? A raspberry pi?
-
-
Are any of those for a phone or a tablet that requires data transfer to a PC?
-
Yes, the longest is a data for shure as well as the short one
-
And you've tested them with a data device and that USB port and it works?
-
Most of them i used for pictures and video transfer from my phone to the computer and work with other boards that i have
-
Have you tried connecting it to your network with a config file set copied to the SD card?
So you connect the Duet 3 to the PC with the cable.
Do you hear the USB device detected sound?
Does anything show up in device manager when it is connected?
What LEDs light up on the board?
Have you pressed the erase button?
Is the jumper fitted to the erase pins? How far do you get in this list of steps?
-
Can you point me to the files? I would like to download a fresh updated copy and try again, I'm doing it via usb because i don have a raspberry pi

This is why I don't think you've actually read this link.
-
Is first time, i follow a different link thatvwas given to me on the old post, but i follow all the steps you mentioned, no sound
Nothing on yhe device manager, the pin was fit, and the lights are the same on the picture -
Do you have Bossa installed on your PC?
-
Yes. Yat as well
-
And nothing shows up in Bossa with these steps?
To update via USB (using a Windows host):
You will need to install Bossa 1.9.1 from https://github.com/shumatech/BOSSA/relea... on your PC.
Place a jumper across the ERASE pins on the Duet 3 and power it up to erase the firmware. The Bossa port should appear on your PC (if it doesn't, try pressing the Reset button).
The erase jumper is located in the center of the board near the large CPU chip.
Remove the ERASE jumper, load Bossa and select the correct COM port. It should identify the device as ATSAM70x20.
Check the Erase All, Boot to Flash and Lock boxes
Download the latest RRF V3 from here: https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/r...
Browse to the firmware binary, and select Write.
When that completes, select Verify.
When that completes successfully, press the Reset button on the Duet 3 to restart the Duet in normal mode.@Reaperrhs said in Duet3D not connecting to the computer (Please read carefully):
