Ok. I'm excited. I keep seeing mention of hardware 5LC show up on GitHub that seems to be based off of the SAME5X microprocessors. Since current boards are either SAME4X or SAME7X, could we be seeing an upgrade to the Duet 2 line of controller boards? Anyone official willing to comment? Please say I'm not getting excited for nothing 🙂

i think the first protoypes of the Duet3 used a 5x, like early 2018 - but as droftarts points out there is an update to the Duet2 in the works

Duet 3 main boards have always used SAME7 processors, even the prototype that we showed at TCT2018. The Duet 3 3HC expansion board uses a SAME5 processor, so we already know its strengths and its quirks.
