3.1.1 Firmware Update Issue on Duet Wifi
-
On two printers the update was not working correctly.
One was from 3.0 -> 3.1.1., the other one I don't remember.
WiFi was in both cases not operating anymore after update.
Had to manually call M997 S0 and M997 S1 via USB.
Means that probably one of the firmware updates failed. -
What state is each board currently in?
Are you able to connect to either via the web interface?
If not, are you able to get the console via USB?
We will need to know what the currently installed firmware is.
3.0 must be installed first before 3.1.1.

Actually I had the same problem twice ... tried to update from 3.1 to 3.1.1 and the Webpage got stuck in "installing firmware" ... after a long wait time (far longer than it normally takes), I reset the board.

This, but reset was not restoring web-interface/wifi. I had to manually flash the firmware as described via USB/YAT. After that the printers are working again. I guess, the automatic execution of M997 S0/S1 after uploading of the zip just fails (at least I think this is how the update works).

3.0 must be installed first before 3.1.1.This condition was fulfilled. I know that from v2 you need to install 3.0 and all the other v3.* were flawless.

Good to hear that the fallback to USB flashing with Bossa worked. Something may have gotten out of sync. The main reason for updating to 3.0 first is to ensure that the IAP files are present from that release. Perhaps something was out of sync, corrupted, or missing.
