Strange behavior during Print

  • Hello,

I have been facing some strange behaviors with my new setup:

1-Attempting to extrude with no tool selected
Occurs occasionally during a print task after a while, often, when I do not restart the board after a finished job.
The print task continues with no extrusion.

    2-Bad command M408 S0 R1 or M408 S1.
Occurs during the print but apparently has no impact in the printing job.

    Specifics:
    Board: Duet 2 Maestro (2Maestro)
Firmware: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 Maestro 3.1.1 (2020-05-19b2)

    Config File:

You may want to add T0 to the end of your config.g to ensure your first tool is enabled at startup. That may solve some occasions where a tool isn't selected if your slicer doesn't explicitly choose a tool or you don't have a T0 in your slicer start gcode. It doesn't hurt to have it in both places.

Is your slicer inserting some M408 commands? Not sure why they would be there. If you search the gcode file for M408 are they actually present?

  • Thank you, T0 solve the error!
