HELP

if you used dhcp you don't need to set gateways and netmasks; if you decided to use a static ip then you should probably match the netmask and gateway of your computer connected to the same router
-
Well thank you......it says i am done. Guess i should shut it down and see if it will reconnect . On the DWC in the upper left corner it says Duet Test with a little box and the word off in a red box.whats this for and what's it indicating

We'll thats another problem the whole way i am sending this has changed since yesterday.
I can't attach any pics and when i hit reply it changes to a full blank page not the way it was yesterday with a small window at the bottom of the page and you could still see the chats above the reply you are typing.Dont know if i touched something i shouldn't have -
Hmm, I'm not sure. Has your browser been zoomed in or something like that?
The reply window box has a little black up down arrow at the top left you can use to grow and shrink it.
-
BINGO...zoom out and all is well

logged out and in looks good -
DuetTest is the name of the printer as defined in the config.g file that came on the SD card from the factory.
Off probably means it's not connected to VIN?
Now that you're connected I suggest you go through the firmware update process I outlined earlier and then get a config file set from the web config generator tool.
-
Well put the AC to her and no smoke no fire the X Y stop switches work on the DWC so thats good. Are there any indicatores LED to show the Duet 5 is connected and or working
-
Not sure off hand for LEDs but you can send m122 and it should say if a duex is detected.
-
i remember seeing that earlier in the procedure but can't find it again
-bash: M122: command not found
is the response i get now -
You'd be sending that in the gcode console in the web interface. Or over USB terminal. It will spit back a diagnostic report.
-
WOW that shows lots of stuff, its connected
-
in reference to earlier update firmware
in the web interface systems tabnot sure where you are talking about i see upload a couple times and only system editors
-
@camassey it’s the big blue ‘upload files’ button under ‘file upload for /sys and /www folders’.

-
thanks.....i hit the button it goes to my downloads i pick the duet firmware file and it opens it up
so what part of this do i use and how
-
@camassey looks like you have extracted the zip file. Don’t. As @Phaedrux said:
Download this zip file. Don't extract it.
https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/2.05.1/Duet2Firmware-2.05.1.zipYou’re browser may be extracting it automatically. Turn that off if you can, so that you have a file “ Duet2Firmware-2.05.1.zip” downloaded, then upload that in DWC.
