I have been tuning my DuetWiFi for the past two weeks, but now I suddenly can't access the printer via the console.

Nothing has changed. I just leave a tab constantly open for when I turn the printer on, then refresh the tab to connect after I turn the printer on.

It just keeps timing out, even though everything else works on the wifi here.

      What should I do?

I am assuming you are running released firmware (1.18.2 or earlier), not beta firmware.

First try rebooting your router, then when it has finished rebooting and it is providing a wifi service again, restart the Duet.

If that doesn't work, use a smartphone or laptop to see whether the Duet WiFi is providing its own access point, as it did when you first connected. If it is, follow the connection instructions at https://duet3d.com/wiki/Getting_connected_to_the_Duet_WiFi.

If it isn't providing an access point, one possibility is that config.g had been corrupted or the Duet can't read it any more. One way to diagnose this is to connect it to a PC via USB. Send M552 from Pronterface or another USB host program to check the WiFi status, and M503 to see whether the Duet can read config.g.

Thanks. I got access to it again. The M552 showed me it had changed its IP address. I'm not sure why or how though.

The Auto Home and heating works fine, so I'm not sure if the config.g is corrupted anywhere.

In firmware series 1.18 and earlier the IP address is always chosen by your WiFi router. Most routers allow you to reserve IP addresses for particular devices so that they always get assigned the same one.
