Temperature error

  • I'm seting up my tronxy x5s with an duet 2 ethernet, but i can't figure out how to fix the temperature readings. I keep having the error: Temperature reading fault on heater 1: unknown temperature sensor channel. This is also for heater 0. Because of this the temperature reading are 2000C. The wiring and the thermistors are all good.
    What am I doing wrong?

    The config.g of the heaters:
    ; Heaters
    M308 S0 P"bedtemp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B3950 ; configure sensor 0 as thermistor on pin bedtemp
M950 H0 C"bedheat" T0 ; create bed heater output on bedheat and map it to sensor 0
M307 H0 B0 S1.00 ; disable bang-bang mode for the bed heater and set PWM limit
    M140 H0 ; map heated bed to heater 0
    M143 H0 S120 ; set temperature limit for heater 0 to 120C
    M308 S1 P"e0temp" Y"thermistor" T100000 B3950 ; configure sensor 1 as thermistor on pin e0temp
    M950 H1 C"e0heat" T1 ; create nozzle heater output on e0heat and map it to sensor 1
    M307 H1 B0 S1.00 ; disable bang-bang mode for heater and set PWM limit

post a picture of the wiring.

2000C means the thermistor is not connected.

  • I did not use the duet conectors but these make good contact, i have measured them.

  • If you are using the same connector for both sensors and neither works... and its not the correct connector....

My first suggestion would be trying the correct connector.

  • post the output of m122

your config version might not match the firmware version

  • @theruttmeister I have replaced the connectors but it doesn't work.

your config is for firmware version 3 but you have firmware version 2 installed

    see
    https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware

  • Is it better to update to version 3 or to select version 2 in the reprap configurator?

  • @SteenKlasse

since you are setting up a new printer go with rrf3.

be advised that you need to update to 3.0 first

  • @Veti Thanks
