Speed related stepper current?

Hi all,
forgive me, if that has been asked before.
Is it possible to have different stepper current settings for G0 and G1 moves?
The reason I ask is, my CNC mill has lead screws all around and the NEMA23s require much more torque/current when milling. On travel moves the steppers and drivers could cool down a bit.
3D printers would benefit from higher currents on travel moves.
