Heightmap viewer
-
I would like the ability to use my downloaded height map, embed it in a post here, and have it be visible and manipulated like I can on the local instance of DWC. I realize its more a forums featture request, but since its a DWC utility, I figured I would start asking here.
Perhaps upload it as an attachment or link it to a place like Google Docs or OneDrive and have it appear in the post.
Sometimes height maps might make more sense if we can manipulate them like we can on our local DWC clients when we ask for help. Not everyone is good with screenshots or uploading them.
I'd think this might be pretty straightforward as an extension/plugin to the forum software as the code is already built for DWC.

You can open the CSV in a spreadsheet program like Excel and create a graph to show the heightmap.

Yes, that is true. But what Excel does not do easily, is pan. rotate and yaw the heightmap like we can in DWC.
Since DWC code has the viewer built in, can that web VIEWER implimented here at the Duet forums?
This is a screengrab I did with ShareX.
Granted it took me like 5 minutes to make, but to someone who lacks the skills and knowledge, it may be an frustrating experience.
Anyhow, I think I am suffering from sag and I will take that issue to the other parts of the forum.
