G29 probing sequence, strange behavior
-
Hi, I have the bed on my cartesian printer setup so that the center of the bed is at the co-ordinates X0 and Y0.
I want to use the G29 probing sequence to probe the bed and create a height map.
To do this I first send the following command to the printer:
m557 x-175:130 y-95:110 s15
I can verify this by using the m557 command without any parameters, and the console verifies that it has accepted these co-ordinates.
When I then run The G29 command in the 'Compensation and calibration' menu in the browser, it proceeds to the co-ordinate of X-193, crashes and makes me sad.

Did you take into account the X and Y offsets of the Z probe?
You have to allow for them when you set the values in the M557.

@fcwilt Thanks, I did take them into account when I measured the probing positions of X and Y, but now that you mention it, I think I need to check again. I'm not at the printer now, but I'll look in the morning and let you know.
