I'm trying to clean up/beautify wiring on my machine and am running cables through a 1500mm open-builds aluminum extrusion. At the moment I just have a 16mm hole in the plate that caps the extrusion. I was thinking that I could put a gx16 or gx12 (with different plate) aviation panel connector in the end to make the wiring cleaner (treating the extrusion like a mini control box).

But, there is only room for one connector. I am running my mains power cable (Gnd, Live, Neutral) and 4 wires of can bus (to and from an expansion board). I would use a 7 pin gx16 connector for these seven wires. I am confident in my soldering enough to make sure that no shorts happen, but my question is: Would there be bad interference on the can bus running so close to the mains?
Is this just a really stupid idea?
      Thanks,
      T

        Hi,

If I was doing it I would add a second extrusion just for the high voltage.
