If you enter a MAC address using the this format you get the following message: Error: M540: invalid MAC address

      M540 P0xBE:0xEF:0xDE:0xAD:0xFE:0xED

If you remove the 0x prefix the command works OK.

Maybe just remove the 0x prefix from the wiki example?

MAC addresses are quite often expressed just as pairs of characters without any prefix like the 0x.

I would suggest the documentation just be updated to reflect what it actually does.
