      Hi, I have a brand new PanelDue 7i recently purchased from Matterhackers. It is a big, beautiful panel which I have cared for meticulously.

      At first it was working fine with Firmware V1.23. However, it was not reporting any temperatures from either the thermistor or bed (both of which are visible in DWC). I figured I would update the firmware. Following the detailed instructions for doing this the only firmware the panel seems to update to is V 1.24. All other versions of firmware beyond 2.0 leave the screen blank. I have followed the procedure for resetting and erasing the panel and have gone though this whole firmware update procedure several times. Only <V1.4 seems to be accepted. There are no markings I can find anywhere on this panel which references what production version it is.

      Can I surmise that this is one of the older generation panels (even though it was purchased new in Feb 2021)? Unfortunately not being able to have up-to-date firmware is a deal breaker for me.

        @pschuyler if it says Duet3D PanelDue 7i, that’s should be what it is. There are some Fystec screens that look similar, but don’t have PanelDue 7i on them. AFAIK Matterhackers is a Duet3D reseller.

        What firmware version are you running on the Duet? RRF versions up to 3.1.1 can use v1.24, but not later. See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/PanelDue_Firmware_update#Section_PanelDue_firmware_versions

        The missing temperatures may just be that your tools are incorrectly defined. Post your config.g and a photo of what is displayed on the screen.

          Firmware Duet WiFI version 3.2, easily accessible via DWC. It also turns out, that the PanelDue running v1.24 does not respond to basic commands. It beeps, and responds to finger presses, but actions such as homing the motors don't work. They work fine with DWC.[0_1615998005005_config.g](Uploading 100%)

              Don't ask me how or why, but I redid the RepRap config on the entire machine now its working. Started all over with the RR3 config tool. NOTE that its now reporting the correct temps and actions seem to work OK. However, it still does not seem to accept any firmware over 1.24. Is there a way to query the panel to find out which processor it has?

                Yes if you connect it via USB and open up Bossa for flashing it, you should be able to click the info button I believe. Or there is a line at the bottom that shows some hardware info.
