any chance of a subdirectory in sys for all the binary files? Now that there's firmware for multiple boards etc. it's getting cluttered in the space one scrolls for user-editable files.

      /bin

        RepRapFirmware 3.3beta1 already contains this:

Firmware files are now stored in folder /firmware of the SD card instead of /sys

Just to be sure: I still download the .zip file to /sys, but it get's decompressed in /firmware?

@o_lampe not sure - best to wait for the final 3.3 release with DWC and RRF to see how everything will play together.

Yes, when the firmware is 3.3beta1 or later, and DWC is sufficiently recent.
