Duex5 - Connector Issue
-
Hi guys,
I’m currently using an E3D toolchanger that has the Duex5 expansion board, since I’ve built and commissioned the printer I had an issue from that point with T3 part cooling, it doesn’t work, I have done all the usual tracing to find the issue, first I replaced the fan for a known working one, issue remained, I then Transferred all electronic components for T3 to T2 to verify the components work correctly, they did, so I then presumed it could be off within the firmware, but again config has the correct fan selected and there is no firmware issue, so now to inspect the expansion board, straight away I noticed the actual connector on the board for T3 part cooling seems loose compared to others, so I plugged in the fan, turned it to what would be 100% and then if I wiggle the connector on the board very slightly I can make the fan blip for a few seconds but any slight movement and the fan turns off again, I have also verified this same behaviour with other fans too so I believe there is some issue with the connector on the board, I reached out to E3D to explain the above and they suggested I post here for confirmation from duet before been eligible to fill out the warranty form for a replacement board, I’d also like to add that this is my first duet3D experience and I have to say I’ve totally fallen in love with the capabilities that duet brings to the table, thanks in advance
