      Hi all
After much deliberation i have ordered a Duet WIfi and am expecting delivery sometime soon.
I'm just starting to look into configuring it for my Prusa i3 steel and am comfortable with most settings i need to input

Theres only 2 areas that concern me and id appreciate some help
1/ Micro stepping What would you recommend to set micro stepping to? I'm more interested in quiet operation than speed
      ( I currently use a ramps 1.4 with TMC 2100s on X & Y with them hard configured to X16 spread cycle ( interpolated X 256)

2/ I also ordered the Z probe but cant seem to find any "basic set up" info . Physical position from nozzle / adjustments

I have some specific requirements for a casing so in order to aid the design process ive made a model of the Duet Wifi
which can be found here > https://grabcad.com/library/duet-wifi-1
Currently based on info and images from the web but will be updated as soon as the board arrives

      Thanks
      Phil

For microstepping, a good place to start is the same x16 with interpolation that you are already using. This is also the default.

Have you read the IR probe fitting instructions at https://miscsolutions.wordpress.com/mini-height-sensor-board ?

              Hi Phil,

I am using the 1/16 with interpolation and can see no reason to change, its very quiet, almost no motor noise and yet I can get 250mm/s movement speeds.

So if there is another mode which can achieve the same smooth, quiet operation and yet still manage the higher speed levels, great…
